Objective: After successful completion students will receive certificates of clock hours required by the state of Massachusetts for pipefitting licenses.
PF 101 Pipefitting 1 100 Clock Hours
Course Outline:
1. Introduction to heating and power boilers
2. Massachusetts regulations 522 CMR 1-17
3. Massachusetts regulations 528 CMR 10
4. Introduction to Section 1 odf the ASME boiler and pressure vessel code.
5. Mandatory Homework (4 hours/week)

PF 101 Pipefitting III 150 Clock Hours
Course Outline:
1. Review of ASME/ANSI B 31.1 power piping code
2. Review of simple stress analysis
3. March and physical science related to steam systems
4. Introduction to section IX of the ASME boiler and vessel code
5. Installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of steam piping systems rated at 700,000/BTU hour or greater.
6. Mandatory homework (4 hours/week)
